Diagnosis is in

So, here we go:

  • The transmission in the van is fried.  Puked.  Kaput.  There are 2 alternatives:  If, when thy get it pulled out, they find that they can clean it up and do a rebuild, we’d be looking at about $2200-2300, which we don’t have.  But, if they get in there and it’s too trashed, then they will have to replace it, and we will be looking at about $3100-3200, which we definitely don’t have.

And there it is.  Not really sure what our next step is.  We’re going to mull it over tonight and probably have the van towed back here tomorrow.  Then we’ll just try and make things work with our Kia, which won’t fit all of us with our current car seats, but we might try and get different ones to make it work.  Not sure.  Lots to think about and consider.

Thanks again for all your awesome comments and such. Hope your Wednesday was the humpiest Hump Day ever.
