Yet another reason you should really consider looking at the Blip job offerings: you might get to meet the most adorable kid next to my own (well…and Baked With a Vengeance…and Kels…and…ok, there are a LOT of adorable kids on Tumblr…but Chloe and my girls are TIGHT!).
Chloe went to work with me today. It was her first time at the Blip NYC office!
She had a full morning…
- Made some calls (from the CEO’s desk no less)
- Learned how to shotgun a beer
- Had a lunch meeting
- Had trouble grasping the meaning of her dad’s “standing” desk
- Wandered around with her very own mini Nerf gun looking for a target
Quite the busy day at the office.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…
[Actually a few hours ago on the Upper West Side]
Chloe’s first birthday continued when this amazing gift arrived from the far away land of Helm’s Deep. Chloe now has her co-pilot. She was so excited about Chewbacca’s arrival that it was almost impossible to get her to sit still for a good picture. Until she tired herself out of course. I think these two are going to go on many adventures together.
Thank you SO SO SO much to the gang at Helm’s Deep. May the force be with you. Always.
AHHH!! So, so happy she likes it! This is just great! And again, a very, very happy birthday to Chloe! The Force is definitely strong in this one.
Where Once Again The Internet Is Filled With Amazing & Wonderful People
Yesterday was a very cool day. Stacie, Storie and I went to an Excellence in Nursing Tea & Awards ceremony at the hospital where Stacie works. Stacie had been nominated for an Excellence in Nursing Award by her coworkers. She was also recognized in several other categories, including her work on the hospital’s Shared Leadership Counsel. Let’s just say that she’s awesome at what she does, even though she didn’t win this year (the nurse that won in her category has been an RN for 20+ years and works with mentally challenged patients, using art and painting to help them recover…can’t top that).
When we arrived home, there was a very large box sitting by our front door. When we opened it, we saw a lovely little card letting us know that the girls’ wonderful friend Chloe from NYC had sent them some really cool things from giggle.com!
Inside the box was this super cool plush animal bowling set, some animal finger puppets, a radically cool book called Tickle Monster with its own monster claws, and a beautiful new outfit for Storie.
The girls were so thrilled! They, of course, wanted to play with everything right then and there, and also wanted me to read them the new book, which I happily obliged.
(below is a video of me reading the book to the girls as a special “thank you” gift to Chloe…please feel free to skip this if you don’t want to watch me read a children’s book to my kids)
Thanks again, Chloe! And please tell your Mommy and Daddy thank you as well for helping you pick out such super cool stuff! Arwen and Greer can’t wait to meet you someday soon!
As requested we made a drumming video. Sort of.
There is nothing about this that isn’t awesome.
Chloe’s shirt makes your argument invalid.
My children need this shirt. This is a great shirt.
